This reel has proved very popular in Canada and has been used to take steelhead upto 24lbs.
The pattern is multi-ventilated with 12 spokes and is fitted with a brass button 'V' check mechanism and tortoise shell handles. The reel has a spitfire polished finish with brass and solid nickel silver fittings. The backing bowl is tooled with ring and grooves like early Hardy reels and is engraved 'The Eclipse' in beautiful script filled with crimson lacquer.
