This is a concept reel designed by Dennis Gander (hence the name) specifically for use with braided line and a need for fast line recovery.
Dennis required a small reel with the ability to recover line quickly. The answer was a design based on a 3 1/2" diameter multi-ventilated spool but with the bore and spokes of a 4" diameter reel, this means that the pins are then sat very high in the spool. The reel has a three spoke construction with three rosewood handles. It has a lever check on the rim with a neat knob as a finishing touch. The reel is finished in black anodize with brass and solid nickel silver fittings.
